When Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced Mosquito last month, they shared a cryptic teaser video, and now they've whetted our appetite with another short clip.
The video is less than a minute long, but it's well worth watching since it includes a preview of an exceptionally dreamy new track called "Always." The song, based on what we can hear so far, blends live percussion with electronic beats and a soporific haze of reverb. The accompanying visuals are appropriately twinkly, as a blonde Karen O sings and her bandmates play along behind while partially obscured by post-production effects.
Mosquito is out on April 16 through Interscope. Read about it here and pre-order a copy here.
