Due to an extra early leak, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced they are pushing up the release date of their highly anticipated album, It's Blitz!. The New York trio's third long-player is now due out digitally on March 10 in North America and on March 9 in other parts of the world, while the physical album will come on March 31 in U.S. and Canada, and on April 6 worldwide.
Originally the record was set to be released in North America on April 14 but according to the group, the leak has forced them to change their plans. In a blog post on the band's MySpace page, YYYs wrote: "The cat's out of the bag after It's Blitz! escaped from our clutches into the big bad world last week. Why should some have and some have-not?
"YYYs have been brimming with nervous excitement in anticipation of releasing this record to the world! Leaks are NO FUN but it's out of our hands."
