Within the context of Young Galaxy's "New Summer," singer Catherine McCandless's lyric about "the end of everything forever" is about romantic loss, or possibly the fizzling of a friendship. The newly unveiled music video, however, gives those words an apocalyptic twist.
The CGI-heavy clip shows a city being overtaken by a massive explosion, which devastates the buildings with eerie slow-motion calm. We're then taken back in time to moments before the blast, and we watch a brutal highway crash as planes ominously close in. This is chilling, genuinely powerful stuff.
