During their stop in Toronto for a Scion Sessions show with Coliseum and TV Freaks, Exclaim! TV caught up with Young Widows frontman Evan Patterson. He talked about switching up the band's sound on their latest album, In and Out of Youth and Lightness, and how artistic integrity and making new music that doesn't sound like anything they've done before is of most importance to them. Patterson also discussed his preference for playing newer Young Widows tracks over the older ones, while expressing his passion for performing live, no matter the venue.
In and Out of Youth and Lightness was released in 2011 via Temporary Residence Ltd. and is the follow-up to 2008's Old Wounds and 2006's Settle Down City.
