Zs Announce 'Grain'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 21, 2013

Having recently run through North America in their latest three-piece incarnation, jazzy Brooklyn skronkers Zs are now ready to release some new material. The band's Grain arrives April 30 through Northern Spy.

A press release for the two-song set explains that the recording is actually a merging of the old and the new, as it presents the final tracks band founder/sax-master Sam Hillmer made with guitarist Ben Greenberg and drummer Ian Antonio. The tracks were than "refashioned by the current members of Zs", with Hillmer and current guitarist Patrick Higgins tackling "Grain Part One" and drummer Greg Fox reworking "Grain Part Two."

Sound samples have yet to arrive, but you can pre-order the set here.

Zs also have some spring dates set up around the U.S., and you can peep the schedule down below.
