Though it's technically a 2015 film, Alejandro González Iñárritu's The Revenant continues to dominate conversations. The film has plenty of noteworthy facts surrounding its creation, and here's another — Tom Hardy lost a bet, and now has to get a Leonardo DiCaprio tattoo.
Esquire recently interviewed Hardy, who spoke up about a rumoured bet that took place on the film's set.
Apparently DiCaprio was convinced that the film would allow him to finally win his Oscar, but Hardy wagered against the odds. The loser would be forced to get a tattoo written in the winner's handwriting. Now that Leo is up one Academy Award, he got to pick Hardy's next bit of ink.
"I haven't got it yet, because it sucks," he told Esquire. Specifically, the design was scrawled on a Post-It Note. "He wrote, in this really shitty handwriting: 'Leo knows everything.' Ha! I was like, 'OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly.'"
Perhaps when he finally gets the ink, he'll visit Bryan Glatiotis at Vancouver's Darkday Tattoo Studios. After all, in 2010 Hardy told the Globe & Mail that Glatiotis is his favourite tattoo artist.
