While Baroness's upcoming North American tour will find the Georgian metal act trying to recreate the sounds of their massive Purple album, a new music video for the record's sublime and hooky "Shock Me" is attempting to bring the record's cover art to life.
Co-directed by Don Tyler and the band's John Baizley, with art direction coming from Karen Jerzyk, the clip presents the sight of a woman whose dreams are being haunted by a lavender goddess.
The pair make their way through cracked-paint corridors, at times crowding around a piano. At one point, one woman is crouched nude beside a wheelchair-manned companion, with the composition seemingly alluding to Baizely's hyper-real illustrative work for the LP.
You can catch the video below, where you'll find an updated tour schedule. The band have announced supporting acts, which include Mutoid Man, Youth Code and Heiress on select dates.
