Just last week (January 10), we learned that San Francisco folk duo the Dodos would be releasing No Colour on March 15, and that it would feature guest vocals from Neko Case on about half of the record. Around the time the album comes out on March 15, the band will be embarking on a massive world tour that will last until late May.
The outing will kick off the week before the album release, on March 10, in Reno, NV. From there, they will tour the western half of North America, playing a run of six Canadian shows between Winnipeg and Victoria.
Once the North American leg is over, the Dodos take a short break before heading to Europe for another month of shows beginning April 27 in Spain. See the schedule below.
We still don't have a song from No Colour to listen to, but we do have a new outtake from singer/guitarist Meric Long. When filming a brief making-of documentary about the new album (see below), Long recorded a lengthy guitar drone. Functionally titled "Drone 2," you can download it for free right here.
