Get down (with the sickness) on Friday — and every other day of the week — as we kick off the month of April with concerts you can't miss in the 416. This is no April Fool's gag; we are a safe space, and you will not be bamboozled, hoodwinked, nor led astray by these live music recommendations. Scout's honour! As always, you can check out Exclaim!'s Canadian concert listings for more upcoming shows, as well as our recent tour announcements.

The new supergroup from Pavement's Stephen Malkmus released their eponymous debut album last October, and are expectedly hitting things hard and fast with their first North American tour. While the band might have only formed recently, its members have been friends for decades, so you can expect that chemistry to come through on stage.

No, unfortunately this Rebecca Black concert is not happening on a Friday. (You're still thoroughly encouraged to get down, though.) With Montreal's Blue Hawaii on deck to open, it's safe to say that we we we so excited about this one.

Sheffield, UK-hailing metalcore mainstays While She Sleeps will have you wide awake at the Danforth, with support from fellow Brits Bury Tomorrow and American nu metallers Vended — who have not one, but two members that are the sons of members of Slipknot. (Knepotism?)

The Exclaim! New Faves alumni released their full-length debut Songs for Sienna in 2025, and a little birdie tells me they have even more new material on the horizon soon. Your favourite local boy band are poised to bring smooth, funky, disco-and-R&B-inflected jams to the Axis Club and help it live up to the "club" part of its name.

Can you feel that? It's probably not a mould outbreak in your home (hopefully, anyway). Don't let those reports about David Draiman's alleged mould sickness deter you from getting down — oh ah-ah-ah-ah-style — to silence and other sounds at Scotiabank Arena.
