Last year, we attended Toronto's inaugural lavender wild music festival — the fun-filled sapphic Super Bowl hosted at Echo Beach and headlined by girl in red, Hayley Kiyoko, Daya, the Aces, G Flip, Wreckno and more. Without so much as a word from the festival's channels since last year's event, organizers have now returned with plans for another edition.
UPDATE (6/18, 10:25 a.m. ET): Slayyyter, Rebecca Black (DJ set), Aliyah's Interlude, Ari Hicks, Makayla Couture, Naomi Leone, Alexandher Brandy and Thirdeye will perform this year's lavender wild.
Still a one-day event, lavender wild is now heading indoors to History. Taking place on August 24, organizers promise that it will be a dance party with "artists, DJs, drag performances and more."
They shared in an Instagram post:
We have some exciting news to share for lavender wild in 2024. lavender wild has always been about the connection of our communities and creating inclusive spaces for us to enjoy music together. After careful consideration, we will be bringing a fresh take on the event with a special lavender wild presents night at HISTORY in Toronto on Saturday, August 24th.
General admission starts at $45. Get more ticket information at the festival's website.
Happy Pride!
