Great Bloomers Tour Canada with the Wooden Sky and Yukon Blonde, Prep New Seven-Inch

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 2, 2010

With their 2009 debut LP, Speak of Trouble, behind them, Toronto roots rockers Great Bloomers are getting ready to hit the road once again. And to celebrate the occasion, they've prepared a limited-edition seven-inch.

The tour will take the group from coast to coast this fall, and includes a handful of shows with the Wooden Sky and Yukon Blonde. There are some non-traditional venues ("Derek's house," "Peter's backyard"), plus a stop at Halifax Pop Explosion.

The seven-inch is called Small Town Love, and a press release describes it as "a minimalist audio memento that was recorded in a cabin in northern Ontario. The songs range sonically from sparse singer/songwriter style to CSNY four-part harmonies and an epic sing-along."

This should help tide fans over until the band release their second LP, due sometime next year. See the tour schedule below, and stay tuned to Great Bloomers' MySpace for more shows announcements.
