Earlier this year, dormant British rock outfit the Libertines announced that they'd be returning to the stage for the first time since 2010. While it was initially pegged as a one-off for the British Summer Time festival, the group have hinted that it could be a full-blown reunion.
Speaking to the Daily Record [via Pitchfork], the band's Pete Doherty said that they'll likely record an entire new album.
Here's his statement in full:
A new record is exactly what we're talking about, that's the dream, really. Finish off all those ideas that we never completed back in the day, all those songs we never played for anyone else that have been floating around in the ether. We're also wanting to try out a few new ideas so it wouldn't just be old stuff. I don't want to tempt fate but we both have the desire, so I think it will happen. It's important to be honest and there's still a lot we have to say. We're still relevant.
While there's always a chance things could fizzle out before a new album happens, the Libertines have decided to expand on their 2014 reunion show with a lengthy European tour. The dates are available below.

06/29 Glasgow, Scotland - Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom
