Phil Elverum has been hard at work on a new Mount Eerie album, and the last we heard, he was working on the "last piece" of the project. Now, that's done, as he has confirmed that the mixing is complete.
In a newsletter update, the songwriter revealed that the music is entirely done. "Mixing for the new Mount Eerie is finished," he wrote. "It happened on tape, mixing 1/2-inch to 1/4-inch, it's a fully analog album. I love the slowness. I love splicing and sequencing, handling the sound."
He added that he's currently working on the artwork for the album.
Elverum hasn't confirmed any details about the LP, so things like the title and tracklist are still unknown. He has previously premiered songs like "Huge Fire" and "Stone Woman Gives Birth to a Child at Night."
