Early last year, T-Pain delivered a covers album capped by a rendition of Black Sabbath's timeless "War Pigs," and a recent performance of the track has now earned the artist a stamp of approval from original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.

In December, T-Pain took the music of the aforementioned On Top of the Covers to the stage for live album On Top of the Covers (Live from Sun Rose). Video of the artist's powerful "War Pigs" performance began circulating online soon after, and eventually found its way back to Osbourne this week.

"This is the best cover of 'War Pigs' ever," Osbourne (if not his account admin) proclaimed in sharing a clip of the performance on X (formerly Twitter). The Prince of Darkness was so impressed, he's angling to make T-Pain's next play-through a duet: "Why didn't you guys call me?"

"You're always invited. Top of the list, every time!! Thank you so much. Means a lot coming from the greatness himself," T-Pain replied, later calling Ozzy's compliment "an honour and the greatest form of validation."

Even though he officially retired from touring last year, here's hoping Ozzy and T-Pain can get together and make those duet dreams a reality. Watch the latter's complete Live from Sun Rose performance below.

Last year, Black Sabbath's music was adapted for a ballet production.
