Canada's song of the summer may have already been decided before its release. Toronto pop veterans Shawn Desman and Nelly Furtado could be getting in the studio together soon in a linkup that's sure to produce a certified CanCon hit.
Desman was asked about the rumours while promoting his ongoing Canadian tour on Montreal radio station The Beat 92.5, and he essentially all but confirmed the collaboration.
"I can neither confirm nor deny this comment," he responded. "But, we have been chatting a lot and I think it's time."
If the pair really do make a song together, it'll mark the second straight big collab for Furtado, who shared the mic with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on her latest release "Keep Going Up."
Meanwhile, Desman is preparing to share his first LP in over a decade in the form of a live album recorded at his Toronto concert last week.
