Sleigh Bells Detail Their 'Reign of Terror'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 7, 2011

Having won over the ears of the indie world with their 2010 debut Treats, crunk-loving noisemakers Sleigh Bells recently announced that their album Reign of Terror would be arriving in the new year via Mom + Pop Music. Now, the duo of Alexis Krauss and Derek E. Miller have confirmed the details of the release.

Reign of Terror will be released on February 14, meaning that if your sweetie likes pop music with a vicious dose of static-soaked noise, this could make the perfect Valentine's Day gift.

You can check out the 11-song tracklist below. With song titles like "Demons," "Road to Hell," "Never Say Die" and "D.O.A.," this looks to be a pretty dark and morbid selection of songs. There's also a tune called "Leader of the Pack," which may well be a Shangri-Las cover (surprise, surprise, that song involves death). Mostly, however, we can't wait to hear the axe-work on "True Shred Guitar."

As you may recall, Sleigh Bells have promised that the sound of this album will be "immense." Scroll past the tracklist to watch the previously unveiled trailer.

Reign of Terror:

1. "True Shred Guitar"
2. "Born to Lose"
3. "Crush"
4. "End of the Line"
5. "Leader of the Pack"
6. "Comeback Kid"
7. "Demons"
8. "Road to Hell"
9. "You Lost Me"
10. "Never Say Die"
11. "D.O.A."

UPDATE: According to Pitchfork, the album has been pushed back a week to February 21. Sorry, all you Valentine's Day lovers.
