Snoop Dogg Thanks Himself in Hollywood Walk of Fame Speech

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 20, 2018

Snoop Dogg was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday (November 19), and he didn't care about being modest while receiving the honour.

"I want to thank me for believing in me," Snoop said [via AFP], once the star was unveiled.

"I want to thank me for doing all this hard work," he continued. "I want to thank me for having no days off. I want to thank me for never quitting. I want to thank me for always being a giver, and trying to give more than I receive. I want to thank me for trying to do more right than wrong. I want to thank me for just being me at all times."

The recognition comes just ahead of the 25th anniversary of his seminal album Doggystyle, which was released on November 23, 1993.

Other famous faces that were present for the Hollywood ceremony included Dr. Dre, Pharrell, Quincy Jones and Jimmy Kimmel.

Clearly not concerned with appearing too humble, Snoop shared plenty of footage from the event via Instagram. See some of those posts below.
