Sudan Archives was originally named Sled Island's guest curator back in 2020, but like so many things, the Calgary-based music and arts festival was cancelled due to the pandemic.

However, the festival is returning this year  — if all goes to plan — and they've invited Sudan Archives to reprise her role as guest curator, building the festival around her selection of bands, comedians, films and visual art projects.

"I'm excited Sled Island invited me back again to be a part of this year's event," said Sudan Archives in a statement. "It's such an eclectic festival and I can't wait to see my curatorial picks included within this year's lineup!"

The festival will run from June 22 to 26, and will include a performance by Sudan Archives, who'll take the stage at the #1 Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday, June 25.

Passes are on sale at the festival's official website, with today being the final day to save 25 percent on select passes. Semi-early bird pricing begins tomorrow (January 19) and will last until February 22, at 1:59 pm ET.

Sudan Archives released her latest record, Athena, in 2019.
