Beloved rapper Talib Kweli already released one album in 2013, dropping Prisoner of Conscious in the spring. Before the year's out, however, he'll release another LP.
Titled Gravitas, the record will see Kweli go the DIY route, cutting out the middleman and self-releasing the material via his own website on its December 15 release date.
Kweli shared his plans for Gravitas with the following statement:
When you pre order my newest project, Gravitas, available Dec 15th, you will be buying it directly from me, no middleman, and I will now have a direct relationship with you. Who needs this industry when we have each other. The technology exists for me to have this relationship with the fans, and vice versa. It is a grand experiment. Lets go for it!
Though there's no tracklisting for Gravitas just yet, the record is said to include production from Oh No, Q-Tip, Lord Quest, Rich Kidd and more.
