Hamish Kilgour, drummer of influential Kiwipop band the Clean, has been reported missing by police in Christchurch, New Zealand.
"Have you seen Hamish?" the Canterbury Police wrote on Facebook yesterday (November 30), revealing that the musician was last seen at Palms shopping mall this past weekend. Anyone with information on Kilgour's whereabouts can notify police using the "Update my report" function and quoting file number 221128/8475. People in NZ can also call 105.
Co-founded by Kilgour, the Clean formed in Dunedin in 1978 and have been cited as one of the most significant acts on the legendary Flying Nun label. They made an impact on the NZ singles chart in the '80s ahead of releasing their debut album Vehicle in 1990 through a partnership between Flying Nun and Rough Trade. The likes of Pavement, Guided by Voices and Yo La Tengo have made note of the Clean's influence on their music.
